Just finished up three days of 12 hour shifts. So tired. But looking forward to a short work week and a 5-day weekend.
The Spartan Race is a Reebok sponsored endurance obstacle race. They have a three tiered race system. I think two are 5k and one is 10k and each one increases in difficulty. They hold races around the country and the world every couple of months and have a world ranking. There are racers that race over and over again in the elite rankings.

I noticed I hadn't updated my tracker at all this challenge. During counting my minutes I realized I didn't report those two days. Now I'm caught up.
Too many errands yesterday and didn't get my workout in. Also my back was bothering my again yesterday morning. Going to add some back exercises to todays workout.
Spartan Races are shown on the NBC Sports Network from time to time. They are just hour programs with highlights and inspirational stories of some of the participants. I watched one earlier this year. I was surprised they televised them. That's when I first realized how intense they were.
I checked programming and there are a couple episodes coming up. On September 6th at 9pm (eastern) there is one from a race in Montana and another one at 10pm from a race in Colorado. It's really worth watching one if you get a chance. Not sure if you have NBCSN though, I have it because I bought a higher tier on my cable programming. I had to have NFL Network. LOL

Interesting and wondering, where have I been with the Spartan races?? Thanks for the recommendation and have both of them scheduled to record. Turns out I have NBCSN and didn't even know it... I don't make to the sports section much, except for Fox Sports Midwest to catch Cards games...
My family all loves football, but I can take it or leave it, for the most part. And fittingly, looks like the Rams feel the same way---they can take us or leave us! We're waiting to see what happens with the new stadium. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me to focus so much on the stadium when in reality, if the team can't perform, what difference does a new stadium make??? But that's just me logically thinking...

The Cards are doing great this year and have made it exciting, despite the injuries. It's going to be an interesting couple of months that's for sure. We'll see how they do with the first round of Pirates this weekend...
And that's about my speed with football... Don't despise it, but don't really follow it much either. It doesn't help that the other offices that I work with in my job are located in Seattle and in Jacksonville. Not sure which football team I hate hearing about more... : - )0 -

Pro Football is really the only sport I pay any attention too. That and NASCAR. I live in a college town and still not a big College Football fan. When I care enough to follow baseball my team is the Dodgers.
It is hard to trust the Rams. They have a history of leaving their fan base and this owner seems my different. St. Louis seems to be fighting for them though. I saw the Mayor promised to get the stadium done and bring the team back. When it comes down to paying for stadiums it's difficult for taxpayers to stomach it, especially when the product on the field isn't up to par. But what is over looked is the economic impact on the community. But stadiums should be mostly privately funded in my opinion. Carolina funded their stadium through Seat Licenses and it has worked out great for the city. They recently got a loan from the state to fund upgrades in the stadium. It's 20 years old but it's amazing how fast things get outdated now a days.

Huh, the Rams dome is the same age as Carolina's and needs some upgrades, as well. The city has to pay for maintenance, so taxpayers are paying with an improved old or a new stadium. Not sure how Kroenke got that sweet deal---Cardinals own and pay for maintenance of their own stadium; the Blues pay for maintenance of theirs... I do remember that they sold a lot of licenses when this stadium was built 20 yrs ago. Not sure if that will work again. Heard there was hardly anyone there for a recent preseason game. It is definitely a hot topic around here. We'll see what happens.
Flo, those pesky pirates are beating up on the cards, something terrible... : - (

Rosenthal makes me nervous, too. He is really good, but can really mess up. Missed most of the game yesterday... Made tuna casserole for my mom and when I got to her house, she had gotten her cable off-line. By the time I figured out her TV and we ate, it was the 7th inning. Hope they bring home another winner today! I would love that as my birthday present! : - )0

No worries, Flo... You didn't miss my BD; didn't really share when it was and sort of snuck it in there by accident... : - ) It was uneventful, which is just how I like 'em...
Those Cards better get it together quick! Not the time to fall apart, that's for sure...
Roger, watched some of that show Sunday night. Wow, what an intense course!
