Good morning. I am new to the forum discussion, but I was wondering if anyone is doing P90X. I am just in my 2nd week, feeling the burn and hitting play everyday. Anyone else doing/completed P90X?

I did a bit of P90 a long while ago... I think there are forums dedicated to P90X on the general MFP forums..0

I've done P90X a couple times just to mix things up. Like any other "Workout in a Box" program (P90, Insanity, etc..) it has its pros and cons because it's attempting to install one program on a wide range of people at differing fitness levels. That being said, of all the "Workout in a Box" programs, I've found P90X to be most in line with fitness principles and the most scalable because it counts sets as most reps in a given amount of time rather than a prescribed number of reps at a specific weight. I highly, highly, discourage anyone just starting a fitness program after a period of inactivity to do the "plyometric" portions of P90X the first time through. This is asking for injury and injury is an absolute morale killer when you've finally worked up the motivation to get fit. Most of the plyometric moves can be modified to moves that don't contain the high impact aspect which is where the high injury risk comes in. All in all though, P90X has been the safest and most complete "Workout in a Box" program I've ever seen. Some are more "extreme", but are inherently unsafe at times for beginners, some are much safer but are cake walks. P90 is a great blend of both ends of the spectrum.0

I mix in P90X with the gym and Spinning. I haven't done many of the weight focused videos (I lift at the gym) but find the cardio focused exercises fun and a great supplement to my overall routine. I get in at least one KempoX, PlyoX, and CardioX a week. If I want to get my abs smoked, I will toss in a Core Synergistics. I wear a heart rate monitor to track my zone and calorie burn. If I don't want to drive to the gym, I just hit P90X. Since I added P90X, I find that my overall fitness level has improve and I just done get the same workout in the gym cardio equipment.0

I've completed P90X. I still occasionally do some of the workouts. Just did Yoga X this morning.
