8 months post-op, 81lbs gone and for the first time in 14 years I'm under 200lbs. So happy to share this news with my fellow VSGers.

Thank you everybody! I remember a year ago when I was lurking around here, hadn't secured my surgery date yet. I would read ppl's posts about losing 100 lbs and could definitely understand the happiness, but when I read the Onederland ones I thought "what's so great about reaching 199 lbs it's not close to my goal" but I so GET IT now!

I'm down to 184 now (presurgery high was 234 back in early June 2015). On Friday I had to go in to the doc unexpectedly, to get antibiotics for bronchitis. The nurse (whom I'd never seen before) who weighed me matter of factly slid the lower weight over to 150 and then the upper to 37 (with clothes on). She turned away to record the amount and I just stood there on the scale, looking at it and blinking back incipient tears. It was the first time in many, many years that the lower weight hadn't been at the 200 point. THAT'S what Onederland is all about!!!0
