New to group

I'm new to myfitnesspal, testing it in parallel with SparkPeople (where I've hung out for over 4 years) because MFP seems to have a more detailed interconnection with Garmin than SP does. (Not necessarily more accurate, but more detailed.)
This group seems to be pretty dead, but I thought I'd put an intro out in case anyone is watching it. I've been maintaining my weight mostly between 160 and 165 for three and a half years now. While I still need to track everything I eat, most of my focus is on running. The next focus race is the MVP Rochester Half Marathon, so I can get the 4th piece of the Four Seasons Challenge medal. After that, I have five more races scheduled in 2015. I have some 2016 races in mind, but registration is not yet open for any of them.
I'm mostly happy with the Rochester running community, but I do have a conflict with the theme of running for beer that seems to be popular with some of the younger runners. ("Young" is relative; I am 59 years old, and folks in their 30s look young to me.)
