So sorry you won't be joining us next month. I feel that I need to keep up my walking more in the next two months because of all the festivity challenges.
Are you going to replace the calories burned by walking with a new activity?

I only have 2.24 today, it poured. My total is 96.12 miles. I probably wont replace the calories burned, I keep using them to eat more and for me it hasn't paid off. I dont walk in the winter due to the fact I always get sick. If I choose to burn extra calories, I have a tread mill set up. Janice0

Janice,If you're going to use a treadmill to walk indoors, you could keep track of your time or miles or steps on this challenge and don't worry about the 100 miles, just use it to share with the rest of us who have enjoyed your company.0 -

Stupid FitBit. . . . I did run this morning, I'll have to go off what the treadmill says. And I'll download the MapMyWalk app for this afternoon's walk. But I still won't get all the miles I log walking back and forth in this warehouse, and that's usually a good 1 or 2. And my weekly goals on my Fitbit dashboard are shot. #firstworldproblems0

I reached 100.40 miles today, still 3 more days of the challenge. I had my grandsons grandparent lunch, my sisters birthday I celebrated late and went to the nursing home to see my other sister. I got almost 10, 000 steps. Janice0

I know how you feel....one day I was half way into my two hour walk with the dogs and discovered that the battery on my pedometer died and I wouldn't get a lot of my steps recorded....I was finally able to laugh at my obsessive self but you are so right about first world problems....I have a friend who calls the "Cadillac problems"0 -

Although I will not get to 100 miles, the challenge was fun. I'm in for November and hopefully will make the goal because I may be able to walk more after my knee issue is resolved.

My total so far for the month is 88.28 miles. Not going to make 100 miles but I will be a whole lot closer this month than last month. And even though I didn't reach 100 I am pleased with my results.

I'm not doing this to challenge anyone but myself....I love sharing the experience with all of you and would love to do it again in November. I have been dealing with pain the last two months and this challenge has kept me moving.
