Dressed for the winter commute?

Someone was asking what to wear for cycle commuting, and I thought it would be interesting to post a picture with the weather conditions. I am going to figure out how to post pictures tonight, so I will start with this link. http://winnipegcyclechick.com/dressed-to-chill/

Good post. She needs to trade those ridiculous gloves for some pogies.

Love it. I dress similar but I gave up the goggles for wrap around Oakley amber lenses. The goggles fogged up too much. I switched to split finger mittens (2x2) as well. Let's me hang on to the brake and the handlebar separate.

Lobster mitts rule. I have used those little handwarmers in them. I also love my winter biking boots. Got a pair of Northwaves a few years back. No regrets. Buy them a good size bigger than you usually wear. If your shoes are too tight, your feet will get cold REAL fast. Leaves room for heavier socks if you need them. Also, make sure your hands and feet are warm before you go out for some cold weather biking. If you start out cold they may not ever warm up as you ride. It's miserable to bike with cold hands and cold feet. I wear a polar-fleece balaclava under my bike helmet. My head and ears have never been cold. If I wear a layer of fleece under a windbreaker jacket, my upper body stays comfy. I have the full length biking pants. No problem with cold legs. I live in Wisconsin. Dressed as I described, I can bike comfortably as low as 20 degrees. If there's no wind, I can go colder.

You know I planned on posting pictures, then the weather warmed up here again. Currently 82 degrees here. It is a bit chilly in the 60s in the morning, so I am now wearing long sleeved t-shirts.
