My Sugar Addiction

Hi, I am Barbie. I have not always had a problem with my weight but I think I have always been "fat on the inside". I grew up eating out of convenience and didn't realize how unhealthy it was until I got into my mid 20's. Now into my mid 30"s (ouch, still new) I am finally ready to take all the little bits and pieces I have heard and try to lead a healthy lifestyle. My goal right now is to try to kick my sugar addiction.

Sugar is everywhere! Thanks to the films "That Sugar Film", and "Fed Up" I am now appalled every time I go to the grocery store. So lately I am trying to only eat sugars that come in all your natural foods. I gave up pop and am trying to stop eating sweets.

What are you trying to do to eat healthier? Does anyone have recipes without sugar added? I look forward to our group discussions.

Take care,
Barbie

I need to get off the sugar because I'm a diabetic. When I'm around my guys I eat it just because they are eating it. Find I crave it at times but I know I can go with out it.

Try searching for THM recipes online there are lots with no sugar. I'm trying to switch to stevia lately.

This recipe is great and you get the Xanthan Gum usually from a bulk store. It is a type of thickener. The bulk barn usually sells it and it is used a lot in cake decorating. http://www.ahomewithpurpose.com/cottage-baked-apple-e/
