Where has everyone gone?

Out of the 46 members to join this group, there are only 8 or 9 of us still active.
Hope a few more will get back in before Thanksgiving. But I guess that is pretty average numbers for people sticking with healthy eating and lifestyle.
If you are still in, we would love to hear from you. And hoping you are doing well on your MFP journey.

The easter misfits only has about half of the people posting, too. I guess they are busy with life, thats okay. Janice0

I think that happened in the last challenge as well. Most of them came out of the woodwork closer to the end of the challenge. Life happened.0

I was MIA for a few days due to traveling. We were in Seattle at a football game. Then we spent a day shopping then we spent a day playing pinochle with my aunt and uncle. Then we came home. I am back now

I knew you were away for awhile but so many of our members have not posted lately. Hope they are all doing well.0 -
I know I only manage to get the weigh in post done each week, sorry it hasn't been much more. The journey is better with friends, so...post away people!0

I have been on many threads and challenges and they start with huge participation and after a few days or weeks the numbers drop down to very few. A few years ago I started a challenge that was 100 squats a day for 100 days. By the second week the numbers were down to about half and even the person who started the challenge had dropped out....by the end of the challenge, there were three people left. So what's happening here is not unusual. I was told that one of the keys to success was stick with the winners and all of you are winners.

I guess not as many people are frantic to lose weight by thanksgiving as that are to lose it by the 4th of july. if I have learned one thing since I have been here, it is just slow and steady. some days are good and some days are not. just need to stay the course!! having support makes it so much better!!!

Thanks for the ones who are staying the course. You are all such an inspiration to me. I need to get thru the next 3 and 1/2 months (holidays and a 2 week vacation in Jan) with my weight the same as now. I am on maintenance and although it has gone well, this cooler weather is making me crave pumpkin desserts.
I am fighting the munchies today!!! But I did a 45 min spin class so if I have to use a few exercise cals, I should be good. One day at a time!!!0 -
I am jumping on the treadmill now to work off the small slice of pumpkin pie i just had!!0

I was very late in joining the Easter challenge so I wouldn't know about the participation ratio with that thread. But with the 4th if July challenge I noticed 90% of them just wanted to look good in a swimsuit. I call them a flash in the pan. The rest if us were out to change our lives for the long haul not just for the swimsuit season. Frankly I don't care what others think I look like I just do what I need to do to get healthier. I have noticed that the rest of us "long haulers" are all after the healthier lifestyle. GO LOSERS!!!!!!!

Still here and I will stick this out come hell or high water.0

Hate to break it to ya Shirley but high water has already come for a lot of us in this challenge my hubby couldn't walk around our recreation lake on Friday with the dog because we had 7.21 inches of rain on Thursday and the trail was flooded because the lake couldn't drain fast enough. And a lot of others in the Carolinas were hit with the hurricane aftermath. And then earlier this summer those in Texas got hit with the high water too. So I guess it is hell we have to look forward to.

Too funny! Yes the high water has hit alot of people so I guess hell is next.0

I expect participation to dwindle in groups like this and then skyrocket again at New Year. For me it doesn't matter the season, this is a full life reboot, nothing else works. I might someday get to the point where I don't need to be here, but I have a feeling I'll have no option but to keep doing what gets me there, so I can stay on track for life.0

I'm with you Eninad. I've got a long ways to go yet, but when I do get there I can't see me leaving.0
