Calorie burn added to deficit

Ok, I thought the calories I burn offset (or are basically added to) my total available calories for the day. Instead, they show as a deficit. Example: 1200 - 1150 food - 350 exercise = -400, shows on my screen. Shouldn't it be = +400. Meaning I have 400 left?

Im using an UP240

I also use an UP24. My exercise does add to my daily total of allotted calories. Go into the settings and poke around. My guess is something is set incorrect.0

I'd say check your settings. Either that or you haven't moved much yet so it still has you with a negative adjustment. A lot of times, I start off the day with a negative adjustment then throughout the day I get a huge adjustment in the positives.0
