Pilates Newbie

I just ordered a beginner mat pilates DVD, with the hopes of getting my abs/butt/thighs toned. I'm also in week 2 of the C25K program. Anyone else had success with this? How long did it take you to see results?

I have been doing pilates videos at home about twice a week for about 6 weeks and I can definitely tell my stomach is a little flatter. I am also doing a couch to 5k (10week program) and am on my 5th week. I feel like both are really helping. The run/walking is helping to shed the fat and the pilates is toning my muscles and giving me a long, lean look. I really want to focus on my posture as I get older and I think pilates will really help..0

PIlates is really good for strengthening your core. I'm about to take it up on the advice of my doctor, after a back injury. It strengthens all those muscles that hold you up, so you'll have better posture and in the long-run, your back will be healthier and better supported. Of course, a stronger core helps with a flat stomach too0
