How is this possible?

I've done everything right. I have been at my exact calorie count or under a tad bit each and every single day. I have done between 8 and 10 glasses of water every single day. I have worked out every single day. I have been feeling thinner .... today was my day to weigh in, and since Saturday I have gained .8 pounds. seriously explain to me how this is possible when I am taking in less calories then I'm burning. how is this possible when MyFitnessPal says that I will be losing weight, and then I don't. I'm going to stick this out because I have no other alternative. I just don't see the point when I do everything right, and yet I don't lose in fact I gained! how does one gain when the program says you're losing. I'm beyond frustrated.

    Don't despair!!

    Everyone's bodies are wired a little differently - remember, you're exercising and gaining muscle mass WHILE you're shedding weight! It's thermodynamics, trustworthy as gravity: calories in, calories out. It's not uncommon AT ALL for your body to fluctuate in weight while its figuring out what you're doing to it! Work with your body, and keep doing more of the same! Also, the scale won't be as trustworthy in number because you're gaining dense muscle; take your measurements to keep an eye on results - because there will be results!

    Are you freaking out over a week's worth of work/lifestyle changes?

    I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this doesn't just happen overnight. :/
    Besides, a "gain" of 0.8 pounds could be anything, water weight/bloat being a common culprit.

    Also, if you're doing any kind of heavy weight training, you'll be putting on muscle weight, which weighs more than fat in the weight loss process. After I lost my first 20 pounds, the scale started to go back UP, even though my measurements were going DOWN, because I started weight training.

    So I really, really recommend you stop looking at the scale if it's going to get you this frustrated and disheartened.
    Take your measurements, stay on track, and in another 3-4 weeks, take your measurements again. (And maybe try the scale again. But not weekly!)
    Also, progress pictures are extremely helpful and motivational! When I feel like I've stopped making progress, I have pictures of myself from 65 pounds ago that help lift me out of a motivational slump, because I've come so far.

    It took a long time for you to put on as much weight as you did, however much that is... It's going to take a while for it to come off, so don't be expecting massive losses after a week, or you're just setting yourself up for disappointment, and you're more likely to quit. Trust me. I've done it, and I've seen it happen to others. Be patient, be consistent, results will come!

    Even many more factors affect daily & even weekly weight...just stick w/ it. You don't appear to have much to lose anyway, it will not come off overnight and it should come off slowly.

    As everyone else has said, it's not going to happen right away. Especially if you don't have a lot to lose in the first place. It was much, much easier for me to lose weight when I was heavier. Plus, 0.8 isn't much of an increase and could very easily be water. Everyone has already said all of the important factors. Don't be too discouraged. Taking measurements and photos are both great tools to utilize. Stick with it. Your hard work will pay off eventually, it might just take your body longer. Not everyone in this group will lose "20 pounds by 2016" but that's nothing to be discouraged about. This isn't a race. It's meant to be motivation for you to keep pushing and moving forward towards your goal. Now that I'm down to my final 20, it's been very difficult for me to "see results" (basically, see the number on the scale move). But that's ok! My pants are still getting looser and I can rock out some quality burpees that I thought were impossible before. Look to different areas that you're making improvements on and take pride in it. Just don't give up!
