What would you do?

I'm on W7D3 and my first 5k race is this Sunday. I've been doing one rest day between runs up until now, but I'm up against a wall. I want to make sure I have at least one rest day before the race so I've got to fit 3-4 w/o between now and Friday. Question. Should I skip W7D3 and go right to 8/1 and maintain my EOD schedule or should I do back to back M-T-W skip Thursday, do Friday and take Saturday off?

    Don't skip anything, that will ruin the story for you.

    I would stay on schedule, and then just fit in the 5K where it falls and then go back to finishing Z5K when it happens, but that's me. Doing back-to-back three days the week before a race doesn't sound practical to me, I would think you would want to be fresh and able to push yourself a little extra for the race. On the other hand, I definitely understand a desire to finish Z5K before the race.

    But what I would do is what I just said: Stay on schedule, take the day before the race off, and the day after, and finished Z5K some time next week. And compare that time to my race time and see if I improved.
