Of all the illnesses and diseases linked to sitting too much, diabetes and heart disease (heart attacks and strokes) are the strongest. When we sit a lot, our risk of diabetes and heart disease goes way up. Let's move! Break up the sitting you do with short stretch and walking breaks. A good goal is to sit for 20 minutes, stand for 8 minutes, walk for 2 minutes and then repeat the cycle.
