Stumbled

I'm not even sure "stumbled" would be an accurate description. I fell flat on my face yesterday. I'm not sure what was going on, but I ate everything and anything not nailed down. I logged it all, and at the end of the day, was about 1500 calories OVER. *sigh* That's a lot of ground to make up.

I'm hoping that if I feel I need to put it 'out there' for everyone to see - every single time I cheat on myself - that maybe I'll feel compelled to keep myself more accountable.

Start fresh tomorrow! Don't beat yourself up and don't let it bring you down multiple days. I've done that myself many times! I just try to get right back up and keep going!

:) That's my intent. I'm just using this as something of a confessional. But I definitely don't plan on stumbling again.
I have to say - I really appreciate your encouragement and support. You're the kind of person that makes this type of group so successful. Thanks!

That's ok. The good thing is, you logged it all. You've still got the right mindset and held yourself accountable. Today is a new day! You're not going to gain 5 pounds in one day of overeating so don't sweat! We all stumbled or have just plain fallen too. I've done it many times! Your hard work will still pay off in the end. :)

way to keep yourself honest- that is a great stride! Back just a few months ago- I wouldn't have even recorded what I ate- so for you to do that and also put it out here- is simply amazing!

I did the same thing and logged it all... Ahem...

What I Ate Yesterday (The Day I Started My Period and Went For Drinks With a Friend):

    Light, calorie conscious breakfast
    Light, calorie conscious lunch
3 double whisky and ginger ales
A hand-sized chocolate-peanut-butter brownie my friend brought me
    A bag of kettle chips
    A Java Monster
    A bowl of buttery popcorn

    3,000+ Calories

And I'd do it again. Halloween candy? No thank you, I'm dieting. Thanksgiving turkey? One slice, please.
But period cramps? BINGING OR BUST. I cannot fight it; my body demands comfort foods, chocolate, and naps. Maybe next month I'll be able to fight back a bit better... D'oh!!

I'm a sucker the week before. Everyone around me knows what's coming as I grab and stuff handfuls of chocolate chips, mopicrowave smores, or whatever I can get my hands on in my mouth! My only saving grace right now on my eating/ calorie intake is that I'm premenopausal so it's only happening every few months!
