Weighed in yesterday on the morning after my bachelorette party, so scale was up compared to most of last week, but still a lb down from my last weigh-in, so that's cool Dress fitting friday so I want to drop as much as I possibly can this week. I saw 126.5 last week, so I know I can get down a few this week if I'm really really good. I have time to exercise so will do that, and will be super motivated to be good about eating. Since it's probably my last major fitting, it's going to be my most important week next to the wedding.0 -
Been HUGELY absent! I can list all kinds of excuses, but this is No EXCUSES November and I am FAILING MISERABLY! Sorry, hoping to turn things back around this week and get back on track and kick things back into "Rocktober" gear for this week thru the end of December!
I did so well in October and feel like I wiped that all out with my CrapTastic November...
So for 7 more days I'm going to try like heck to get some minutes in for workouts, get my water down and stick to MENU PLANS!0 -
Hey Marla Jean, I'm totally with you on the utter fail. Haven't worked out in like two weeks. No excuses, but let's make this last week the best week. Let's do this!
Jill, you are my hero! You enjoyed your bachelorette party and still post a 1lb loss for the week?!
Jools, I have the same issue with breaking those invisible sticking points on the scale (I'm hoping to sneak by with the no scale this month, but given the last couple weeks, not sure that's happening). That said, I wouldn't care what the scale said if I was getting definition on the abs. Go YOU!
Chezzie? Lizz? How are you doing?0 -
Keep at it guys! seems this month was a toughy, not likely that december will be any easier! we need accountability! Not doing too bad on the workouts, but partner made yummy cookies today and took me to star bucks on monday, so bad influence! Jill i cant see ur diary any more, is there a reason? i was looking for inspiration on how to get to those low weights!

My eating has been embarrassing so I locked it, but I just opened it back up because...whatever! I don't think my diary should be any inspiration at the moment!
I'm pretty bummed that I'm not at my 125 goal for my dress fitting happening tomorrow. Fortunately I'm fairly solidly under 130 now. Been 127-129 for the last while. I'd taken a break from walking to work because it got so cold, but I purchased a new winter coat and have walked to work twice this week and I get another 30 min in on my lunch or on the treadmill in the evening.
I think I can make it to 125 by my wedding, and then I can still probably do minor alterations if necessary a couple days before. My dress is fitted SO tight so that it stays in place, but that scares me because I feel like if I gain a pound, it won't fit. I can barely breathe...doubt I'll be able to eat much that night. Eeeek! I am quite worried about handling the holidays. I know everyone would be understanding if I basically avoid eating much at holiday dinners and all that because I think fitting into my dress is an excuse people will totally be ok with compared to when people get a bit funny if I'm just trying to eat healthy/diet. But it's going to be hard for me to resist temptations. I need to tell myself that on January 1st I can go wild, but until then I absolutely need to watch it.
I'll definitely be needing all your support for the next few weeks!!!0 -
I was thinking about you over xmas, thats a tough one right before the wedding! I have 6 months to go, I tried some non-specific wedding dresses on a couple of weeks ago, and they wer ok, but not really wow, so I'm going to a proper wedding dress shop on Friday. I can't seem to get any lower tan 158 at the moment. I think I'm going to have to get quite strict on the cals next month and maybe go back to 1250 which I used to do, but found too low0

@CostaRica120 So EXCITING! Bachelorette parties, so close to your goal AND a Last dress fitting! You're doing great! YOU GOT MY SUPPORT...sending positive vibes, stay healthy wishes and smooth sailing prayers all coming your way for these next couple weeks!
@brisingr86 You are so sweet, I still failed this past week, although I did at least get in a couple walks, but nothing like I was hoping! On a positive note: my Fiancé found my jump rope Wednesday night, so I'm going to start at least 20 minutes a day for the next few days and then my hope is to DECIMATE DECEMBER with my workouts and menu planning!
I will begin dress shopping mid-January, so hoping to at least get back into the 150s by then, last weigh in I was 162.5, so it should be do-able if I STICK to it! Wish me luck!
Have a GREAT weekend everyone!0 -
My partner has also started skipping! seems to be the in thing right now, he kindly (?!) bought me a weighted one, and ones for the children. skipping mad (thats jump rope in the US?)0
-
Yes, "skipping"/jump rope is an EXCELLENT full body workout! THEY say 10 minutes on a jump rope is the equivalent to 30 minutes jogging on a treadmill!!
I've been doing it for a couple years, but misplaced my Buddy Lee jump rope (my fave) about a month or so back and couldn't find it for the life of me...my Fiancé found it right out in the open, but blended in with some other rope looking things...ugh, I was about to open the new one I had ordered for when I wore the first one out! **smh** he just smiled at me and laughed because he knew I had been missing it for a while!0 -
Yeah, I'm adding a bit of jump rope in between kettle bell intervals, pretty good workout!
I'm quite exasperated this month sw 158 end weight 159
Still a healthy weight range. I've been taking picks at the end of each month and I think I see a slight improvement in inner thighs and stomach muscles from the end of last month, still a bit demotivated though, so giving up for the weekend now, with a strong determination to get to at least 154 by xmas. Might have to mix it up with a bit of intermittent fasting to break those pounds!0 -

I always do badly at the end of the month.. PMS'll do it I was 127-ish on Friday and felt great at my dress fitting...then decided to celebrate with All-You-Can-Eat sushi on Friday evening, and then ate poorly on Saturday and even worse on Sunday. And was up to 129 on Sunday (final weigh-in) and up to 132 this morning!!! Ahhhh! I know a lot it water weight since I'm mega bloated from all the salt...and I have been constipated for days (TMI, sorry).
I have another dress fitting on December 11th, since they forgot one of the hooks for the bustle and are going to make a few final tweaks.
I'm going to do a smoothie fast for the next few days (aiming for 7 days). Mostly doing this because I'm totally freaking out and I've had success with smoothie and juice fast before and I know it'll help me shed at least these binge lbs that I piled on and help my digestive system get back on track. It'll also help me just not focus on food, which will be good since I have so much other wedding stuff to focus on. I'll know I can just have my smoothies, and that's it.
We have another wedding dinner tasting followed by cake tasting tonight, so I'm going to start with my smoothie fast tomorrow, which works nicely since it's December 1st. I know this isn't the best approach, mentally or physically, but I'm just a few weeks away from the wedding, so gonna do it anyway. I won't bother logging, but I'll check in here often.0 -
I don't think a week long smoothie fast is gonna hurt you because you are still getting calories, it could be like a kinda detox and may possibly shock your system into dropping those last few pounds.
My only caution would be that you remember the body will go into starvation mode if it is undernourished (which they say for women is less than 1200 calories) for more than 3-4 days.
Otherwise I think eating the same thing would definitely ease up on the thinking about food issue. Kind of like wearing uniform at work-you never have to wonder about what you are going to wear each day! Good luck!0 -
So No scale November did not work out well. I think the first two weeks were probably ok, but then I just started to get really lax about snacking and without the scale I didn't have the objective feedback to jar me back to being on track. I think I'm up about 3 lbs. I have been eating a fair amount of crap so hopefully I can get some off quickly, but going to be battling the same pounds again in December.
It was nice to be less focused on the scale, but I think I needed to be doing more journaling or better logging to have other feedback mechanisms in place to get me back on track. Time to buckle down before the holidays hit.0 -
Welp. I lost 1.5 lbs in November. Hooray!0

Congrats on the loss Lizz!0
