Bachelorette Party/Weekend?

Since I saw Jill's post that her's is coming up, I thought it would be fun to hear what everyone is doing/has done for their bachelorette party. Are you doing classic bar hopping and strip club? A party or more of a weekend getaway?
I'm thinking basically grown up sleep over with alcohol and CAH, maybe a couple outings depending on where exactly we do the party.

Were doing a joint one as we both have good male and female friends. Weekend in some cottages with hot tubs and stand up paddleboarding. Feeling a bit nervous about asking people to pay out for this as well as travel to Italy though!0

Are there possibly people who will come to your weekend that won't be able to come to Italy and this will be a nice opportunity for them to celebrate with you even though they can't come to the actual wedding? Or are you having a US(?) reception after the wedding?0

That's sounds fun! I understand your concern though, but people can decide for themselves if it's an expense they are ok with, so don't worry!
So tomorrow is the bachelorette! I'm excited but also a bit nervous. I'm sure it will be great because it is my friends after all, but I just hope it all goes well and the club is fun and all that. I rarely drink (like 3 times all year probably) so I'm also a bit nervous about that, too...I just don't want to get too drunk to where I don't feel well because then that's no fun. I generally don't get too stupid, but I do sometimes feel physically really awful..like stomach achy. I also don't want to eat too much..which can be tough with drinking and I know there will be lots of treats. Plus all those booze calories. But it is my bachelorette, so I need to get over that! And I just need to make sure that I don't let it spiral into more poor eating on Sunday, etc. I'll let you ladies know how it goes0 -
Have a lovely time!!
I'm in the UK, so yes some ppl that can't make it to Italy will come to that (hopefully!)0 -
Fun ideas! I like the idea of a joint Bachelor/Bachelorette party! And even an adult sleep over sounds fun!
I think my Galz and I are gonna do a semi-bachelorette party when we go to Vegas in January, by getting tickets to Thunder from Down Under-LOL!
As far as a more traditional Bachelorette party...I don't even know if they have thought about it yet, but they have plenty of time!0 -
I am planning on a low key hen night. Maybe a spa day/evening, dinner and a night in a posh hotel.0

If anyone needs ideas for your own or for upcoming friends' bachelorette parties, we went here: https://www.adonistoronto.com (possibly NSFW) and it was such a riot! There was a nude model and a girl gave us a drawing lesson. There was another buff topless dude that served us bubbly and snacks. It was a great time because it kinda incorporated a bit of bachelorette silliness into a bit more of an age-appropriate, tame event that is more the speed of my crowd. The drawing was really fun and I actually learnt drawing skills lol! And the guys were terrific. At first I wasn't totally sold on the idea but it was such a hit that I would recommend it to everybody. I'm not sure how widespread it is though..major cities at least.0

So fun! Such a classic bachelorette experience, right? haha0 -
These sound really great, fun and relaxing. I don't know what to do for my bachelorette party. I doubt my friends will plan one on their own. I think driving over to the next city, going out to eat, and then to a brewery/winery to drink and play stupid games might be fun. I'm not into drinking games or raunchy penis toys. I do like Cards Against Humanity. There also happens to be a spa nearby, if we wanted to schedule pedicures or something before hand.0

I think the Spa idea sounds divine!
I just tried Cards Against Humanity a few weeks ago...it was great, lots of fun!0 -
Mine's this weekend! Off to the spa! Will report back!0

Have fun Sam!0

My bach party will be in June and we are all going to stay at a house on the lake we rented & we have a bus that will take us to 4-5 toured winery's, and then take us back to the house! . I know we will be able to do some swimming and grill out for more casual fun as well. We are going to get big derby style hats and really do it up Both my mom/MIL are joining as well and I am thinking it should be fabulous weekend.

Hen do was so fun! We had a cottage attached to a spa - such a good laugh, especially as my friends had videoed my fiancé answering some questions about me and I had to guess which ones he got right! I'll definitely do this for my friend who is getting married at the end of the year! I ate almost as many calories as i did at Christmas! Chambord cupcakes, heart chocolates, tiramisu etc. Plus WAY too much prosecco. I'd recommend a spa hen though, as I've balanced out at least some of the calories with a run, a dirty dancing dance class, aquarobics and yoga. Hope you all enjoy yours - would love to hear all about them to help me plan for my friend later this year!0

Sounds like a great time. Glad you enjoyed it.0

A spa party sounds awes! I'd like to hear more about the videoed fiancé if you don't mind @samlovesthesnow that sounds like fun!
I have to admit that this past week with my Galz was DEFINITELY a bachelorette week and I'm going to go ahead and count it as such! We saw Thunder from Down Under, tried on and found my wedding dress, laughed so much we were sore, had fun with the cabbies, did some thrift shopping, listened to some music, lots of eating out and of course indulged in a few too many cocktails...it was a BLAST!
If we do anything else it will probably be incorporated with my 45th birthday party in August, but I don't think anything would top the last week at least for me.0 -
Your weekend sounds ace! Video was relatively tame as both of our Mum's were there. Best questions: How many times did it take Sam to pass her driving test? (He guessed 3 but I passed first time! - big Trouble!)); What item of clothing of Sam's do you dislike?; What did you disagree on most about the wedding? (We have disagreed on almost everything but he said flowers??! - the only thing that he let me choose outright!)0

Excellent, that does sound like fun! thanks for sharing some of the questions, I think it might be a fun game for guys vs. galz if we decide to do a joint Bachelor/Bachelorette party for my 45th birthday...
