Pre WOD food

I use to be a 5:30 am WOD'r. I never ate before and did just fine. Recently I switched to 5pm WODs and am struggling a little. I eat breakfast around 9 and lunch around 1 because that's when I'm hungry. Now, during WOD's I am burping up my lunch! The poor guy next to me yesterday had to listen to me belch (oh yeah...out loud...holding nothing back) up my avocado egg salad.

I eat a pretty light lunch. I suppose I could try and eat sooner, but I really am not hungry.

Suggestions?

That's a tough one... I am not a big one for eating before WODS, but I started loading white rice 2 hours before for some extra carbs, and it's like going in fasted for me. Normally if I would eat 4 hours or less before a WOD I'd feel like barfing. Maybe eat higher glycemic index or faster digesting lunches on WOD days, or try to eat earlier, hungry or not.

I always have issues if I eat lunch 4 hours prior to a WOD. Doesn't matter what it is. I had to either eat less at breakfast so I became hungrier for lunch earlier or just make myself eat at the time that I knew that I'd have to. Eventually it became part of my routine and I don't mind earlier lunches anymore. I used to be the person in the office that would take their lunch at 1 or 2 to make their day go by faster

I go in the am and try to get a little protein at least (usually a shakeology or protein shake) and bring lots of water. :)
