Setting Step Goal During Third Trimester

I just got a Fitbit Flex, and I'm wondering how many steps I should start out on. I'm wanting this extra motivation to stay active these last two months.

Hi, I'm 36 weeks pregnant. In the second trimester I was taking 15000-18000 steps a day, however that slowly declined through out the third trimester. Now I am happy if I get 10,000-12,000 steps a day. I use the steps as a baseline level of activity so I am not sitting on my butt too much. I don't count my 1 hr daily of exercise into my steps, I keep that separate.0

It really depends on you're typical activity level/ step goal. 2nd trimester I was back to my pre-preg step goal of 10k but in the beginning of the third trimester I was too tired/sidelined by SI pain, so I knocked it down to 8k. Now that I'm off work I upped my step goal back to 10k last week (36w), 11k this week (37w) and 12k next week in hopes to motivate this little one to make an appearance. Pick a goal and see if you can reach it everyday for a week. If it's too hard, knock it down 1-2k and if it's too easy bump it up. Hope that helps!
