I am new to this group. I am hoping it will help keep me somewhat aware of what I am doing to/with my body. I begin every morning with 1/2 banana (44 cal, 1 fruit). The older I get, the more I seem prone to "charlie horses" and at very *inopportune* times! I also notice if I'm low on potassium that I have no energy. I believe most dark, leafy greens have potassium, and cantaloupe does also. I try to throw a little raw spinach into any salad I eat, I cook a lot of meals with kale, I used to have swiss chard and sorrel growing freely in my yard (but we have recently had a hard freeze so I don't know if it is still accessible) and I rummage through my mother's refrigerator for the cut up cantaloupe she keeps in it regularly. This is a good challenge for me to start with, because it's natural for me and I know I can do it! I look forward to meeting people.0
