Hair loss

Hi everyone,
In general don't have a hair loss problem with PCOS. I have now lost about 20 lbs since July and lately I noticed more hair shedding when showering than usual. Is something missing in my diet? Protein maybe? Can someone shed some light? TIA!

Losing weight dramatically will cause hair loss. Period. That's why it's better to lose slowly, as it's also easier to maintain. But sometimes that's just what happens. Biotin and collagen are good for hair in general. Inositol is helpful for hormone balancing along the way. But many times, just the shock to the system of losing weight does it... And honestly, after starting to lose a good bit of weight, I still have a ton falling out, but I have a ton of new growth, too.
Hair falling out can be a sign/symptom of so many things, though... Get bloodwork done, including hormone and thyroid panels, etc.0
