Holy smokes, that was an ordeal. I finally have my house back! I worked out two nights ago and boy, I'm still feeling the effects of it! Holidays are always a stressful experience but when you don't even have the comforts of your own home to decompress and relax.. good gravy! I power cleaned yesterday to keep everything in tip top shape and I really just feel like a huge weight has been lifted! I was in such a bad place mentally that it really wasn't good. I didn't do anything. Nothing. I came home and laid in bed for the rest of the evening most days. But I never truly gave up. I knew it would pass with time. Good news is, I was able to maintain my weight. It always fluctuates a few pounds throughout the week and I've been hovering right around 180, give or take 2-3 pounds. Am I going to meet my goal? No. Am I going to let that defeat me and give up on everything I've accomplished? No. This challenge certainly did NOT go the way I had intended it to. There's been a lot of stress and chaos and unforeseen circumstances that have hindered me a bit.

To those of you who've been consistently posting and staying on top of things, great job and thank you! You're all fantastic. Even if you don't post, I hope you've been reading the posts and moving towards your goals. I know Christmas is this week and everybody is going to be hectic and crazy. Keep your goals in mind but ENJOY yourself! Enjoy your family. Enjoy your life. Making a lifestyle change does not mean you have to deprive yourself completely. It does not mean you can't have that glass of eggnog :grimace: (vanilla spice eggnog.. mmmm). It just means you have to do it in moderation. Celebrate yourself and the commitments you've kept and changes you've made! You should be proud.
