Accuracy of energy consumption transfers (exercise) from Fitbit to MFP

Both my accounts are linked, activity only is tracked on Fitbit (Flex) and food only on MFP.

Minor hiccup is that Fitbit uses only calories and MFP is set for Kjs (Au)

MFP is constantly under by approx 3500 Kjs at the end of each day, The Fitbit figure is higher then the total of the MFP baseline plus the MFP exercise addition. I have been tracking this using a spreadsheet for the sums/conversion and am liaising with MFP on this discrepancy.

So, my question: Has anybody else noticed an anomaly in the energy amounts transferred ?

    Oh, that's wild and sad.

Have you done the math (should be easy in spreadsheet) if MFP assumed the figure coming from Fitbit was Kj because it's set to that?

Like if you look at your calorie adjustment details as to what MFP thinks Fitbit reported, does it show the same figure that Fitbit shows on their site (taking in to account potential time difference from last sync of course).

Like if Fitbit shows 1800 calories - does MFP in adjustment details show "based on 1800 Kj at xx time", or the correct 7536 Kj?

Or worse - they used incorrect conversion factor and some other figure is there not matching either of those?

---- Why not set both to Calories
