FitBit Charge HR vs. Dirty Jobs

Just got my FitBit Charge HR and would like to wear it while on the job. The problem is that I have a "Dirty Job". I'm a foreman on a commercial mowing crew. My hands can get dirty, greasy, muddy,... You name it, my hands have been in it. (Don't ask.)

I have cut a phone screen protector down to cover the display as I have heard that they scratch easily.

Any thoughts or experiences I can learn from?

Thought I'd add a follow-up for anyone else with a dirty job who would still like to wear their FitBit.

Picked up some terry cloth wrist sweatbands like those worn by tennis players. Won't stop water but should keep most of the crud off My FitBit. Time will tell.
