New to the program and trying to remain focused

I have been lurking in this group for a few weeks now and decided to post because I'm nearing the point where I always fall off the wagon. I started SL on 12/28/15 and have not missed any workouts over the past two weeks. I also started the couch to 5k program at the same time.
Right around the 3rd or 4th week I always seem to start missing workouts. It starts off as one and then it becomes two per week and then I'm just not working out at all. I thought if I put myself out there, that maybe I would stick to it this time. Also, if anyone has any recommendations for diets and macros please do share. This topic confuses the hell out of me and I consider myself a pretty smart woman.
Anyway, thanks for entertaining me during my lurking and encouraging me to post (even though you all didn't even know you were doing it)!

Hey there! I'm also new to the program. I'm starting on Tuesday 1/11/16, but I know exactly what you mean. I also get to a point where motivation and dedication start to fail and I start slacking. I'm trying not to let this happen this time.
Just keep a mindset of 'One Day at a Time' - that way each day as long as you look at it as one day's workout instead of a whole program, it won't seem like much.
Best of luck! :flowerforyou:0 -
My guess is you fall off because motivation has faded and the it isn't quite a habit. Timing seems about right 3 or 4 weeks. Try to stick it out for a little longer and my guess is you will find that it becomes the normal for you. As for diets and macros, that is a hit and a miss.
After 2 and a half years I found out that nothing works for everyone and it is just trial and error. Heck what worked for me this time last year doesn't work for me now...0 -
This is my first Time doing a program EVER! I started 2 weeks ago. Before Christmas, I was starting to feel like I could decide if I was going to work out
This program makes the decision for you. It says "go lift weights and do workout A" I don't decide when I feel like doing squats anymore.
On another post, some of us are posting our workouts and results if you want to join0
