Hi I wonder if this is correct? I sometimes get 'sport' showing up on my exercise even tho I haven recorded it. Does my fitbit track my HR and movement and then just assume I'm working out? It doesn't actually give me a time but I think it's at my busy periods whilst working. Thanks

Yes it is an auto Detect feature they rolled out not too long ago so if you don't turn on exercise mode it automatically captures something if do it at least a certain number of minutes. It is configurable from the web app.

I had it record "exercise bike" while I was traveling in a cab-over truck with un-balanced wheels. (Also got credit for a flight of stairs every time i climbed in the cab.) :p

Had to turn most of the autos off. still have 'walk' and 'run' on.

I think Sport is a catch all it they can't tell what you are doing. Last that came in I was shoveling snow and ice. A workout but not much fun...

FYI you can edit the name to something that make more sense after in comes in. That is what I do with mine.
