Doncaster Belles are one of the oldest women's football clubs in England, and have been in the top division for 22 YEARS. They are no longer the dominant force they once were but are there on merit.

HOWEVER

Last month (1 game into the 2013 season) the English FA announced that as part of a restructuring Donny Belles were being relegated to the 2nd division next season, and replaced by Manchester City - who have only had 1 season in top flight women's football.

Donny Belles appealed and today that appeal was rejected.

I know women's football isn't everyone's cup of tea, but this is about more than women's footie; this about the principle that MONEY can buy a place in a league and PERFORMANCE no longer matters.

I'm not usually one for petitions - but here is one expressing displeasure with the decision -> http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/doncasterbelles

PLEASE raise this issue on facebook, twitter,... ANYWHERE. Let people know that football is about more than money and what the FA are doing cheapens everything football and SPORT stands for.
