Logging activities

Hi guys!
I noticed that when I'm active (say, on a walk) and I just let Jawbone update my calories here without logging the activity itself in the Jawbone app I get about 500 calories for a 2h walk. But if I add the activity in the correct timeframe, etc. in the Jawbone app, the calories I get on MFP will be higher. In this case, it was 719 I think.
Should I correctly log activities or would it give me too many calories if I logged them in the Jawbone app?
