Yesterday when I got home there was a beautiful box waiting for me from Amazon. It was my Garmin ANT+ capable Index scale. After installing the batteries and pairing the scale with my Garmin Connect account, I jumped on the scale and not only does it measure weight, but BMI, muscle mass, bone weight and water weight. Then the coolest thing happened when I opened my phone and all of the information was in Garmin Connect. No more hand-poking weight into my phone.

Now that I have a Garmin activity tracker, the index scale is on my mind. I can't really justify it at this point though because I have Tanita Ironman scale that I got about 3 years ago. It provides, weight, % body fat, % body, muscle mass, bone mass, visceral fat, BMR, metabolic age, and physique rating. It does not have bluetooth so I have to manually enter the data into MFP.

I hear you on the justification. Perhaps you can sell your Ironman scale since it's only three years old?
