Probably many of you know of this, but I bet many don't, having been a member on low carb forums.
1 pitted ripe avocado - pitted
2 TBS unsweetened cocoa powder ( I prefer the "special dark" )
2 TBS heavy cream
Sweetener to your taste ( I use 2 TBS of Torani SF Vanilla Bean syrup )
If you don't use that syrup, I recommend you add 2 tsp vanilla extract, plus the sweetener.
Mash it all up to the smoothness you like. I like it super smooth, so I sometimes use an immersion blender to make it smooth.
You may alter any ingredient to suit your pallet. This is just how I make it for me.

So I made this one and out tasted like death in a bowl. I actually had to throw everything out bowl included because the thought of it made new sick. I'm almost over that experience and kinda want to try it again I'm just so nervous it'll turn or bad again.0

Interesting, because this is pretty much a standard among lchf eaters. Maybe you just need adjustments. I have posted this in many places, and yours is the first negative response. Hope you find what you enjoy!

oh I'm not knocking the recipe, I've heard its great and so many love it.
I don't know what I did, but I'm sure it was something I did incorrectly. I might try again. I know I added the cocoa powder and stevia that was in the recipe I had and it was super bitter so then I tried to make up for it with more stevia and it was disgusting. I wonder if I might like a different sweetener, as the stevia tends to have a metallic after taste and that combined with the bitter cocoa powder wasn't pleasant.
oh also mine didn't call for heavy cream either, maybe that had something to do with it.

I prefer the liquid stevia rather than the packets ...to me it is less bitter than the packets0 -
@ms_smartypants I used the alcohol free liquid stevia. I have a ripe avocado, maybe i'll try it again using this recipe and see what happens0

I used to make this all the time as well as an chocolate avocado icing before my LCHF days... I love it... but I really dislike the aftertaste of almost all the artificial sweeteners, so desserts just aren't an option unless I completely splurge on the real thing.0

I hear you there. I look at it this way: Sometimes we just can't get things exactly the way we want them to be. There are just some things that will never be as good as a higher carb version.
