I Am 67, going to be 69 soon and I am still making the same mistakes. Over the holidays I lost my job and with that depression and some love things going on, I just let myself go thinking I was invincible to gaining weight, I put on about an 20 pounds or so. I also suffer from a chronic disease that prevents me from being very active, here I am again trying to
get it right :s

I know what you mean about thinking you're invincible to weight gain and suddenly finding yourself heavier than you thought and with no clothes that fit. Great job joining MFP and getting started towards a healthier lifestyle! I wish you the best of luck with all your struggles.

I have really liked the motivational journal. It really helps. Believe it or not you can do it with diet alone. My first month I didn't do exercise nutricianist wanted to get logging food down pat first. Lost 7.3 lbs. I have bad knees so I'm having problems with exercise but I keep trying. B)
