mtn tires - what do you like?

I love trying new tires, and it's time to replace my old nevegal. I'm looking for an aggressive trail/all-mountain tire. What do people like? Looking for something in the 29x2.3-2.5 range.

Personally I like bontrager simply because I can get them on and off without resorting to tyre levers. But one important factor to consider is the rubber compound, soft 45a rubber will be grippier than cheap standard 70 tyres. A lot of good brands will make various compound versions of the same tread tyre0
