Hi ladies. I am in my third week of SLs and have been able to increase the weight as suggested. I didn't make it to the gym today since I use my university gym and we had a snow day. Could I work out two days in a row since I'm still at a lower weight? I don't get sore muscles or anything from these lifts anymore, I did the first week though.

Sorry, I meant to reply to this earlier! Yes, it'll be fine, I think. I did two days back to back this week, and I did drop the weight on the squats on the second day, but if you haven't got to a very heavy weight then I wouldn't worry about that, either. It's not ideal, doesn't let your muscles rest properly, but it'll be fine. Better than not going

Yeah, I agree, if the weights haven't gotten too heavy on squats yet it will be fine on occasion. If the squat weights were heavy/difficult I'd consider just reducing weight on the second day or just doing 3x5.

skipping rest days doesn't mean you're gonna die before dinner or anything, but you tend to run into walls and hamper your own progress if it goes on for too long.

i usually just go and do it the day after the miss and then carry on. but not everyone has the advantage of a flexible schedule.

Thanks ladies! I didn't end up getting to go again today. Just gotta rock it tomorrow and the next day!
