I love cauliflower, but I don't want it anywhere near anything as great as sushi!
Anybody have any ideas?

I have made these in the past ....They were yummy0 -
Oooh, those do look good!0

I often make spicy prawn hand rolls.
Here's my recipe:
150 g large prawns, chopped
1 tbsp Mayo
1/2 tbsp Sriracha
1/2 medium avocado, sliced
3 half sheets nori
Mix the prawns, Mayo & Sriracha, salt & pepper to taste. Scoop 1/2 mixture onto the left side of a half sheet of nori, add 1-2 slices avocado and roll it up like a cone, starting diagonally from the lower left corner. Makes three rolls.
You could add some cucumber and/or daikon radish too if you wanted some crunch and had the carbs to spare.0 -
And my crab hand roll recipe:
115 g fresh crab meat
2 tbsp Mayo
1/2 medium avocado, diced small
1/4 cup celery, diced in tiny pieces
1 Spring onion, chopped finely
Salt & pepper to taste
3 1/2 sheets of nori
Just mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and scoop 1/3 mixture onto the nori, same method as the prawn rolls above. Makes 3 hand rolls.0 -
Oh, and I was going to add that you could toss in some hot sauce to spice it up or some mustard for a tangy taste.0

I make hand rolls with these ingredients, minus the horseradish as that's not my kind of spicy, I like the kick in my throat, not my nose lol.
I just lay pieces of smoked salmon, 1 tbsp cream cheese, a slice or two of avocado and a sliver of cucumber on a 1/2 sheet of nori and roll into a cone.0 -
Yeah, cones are far easier to make.0

Here's a couple that I found recently that I plan on trying soon:

Re the Australian low carb central recipe, I plan on swapping out "LF Sweet White" for preferred sugar substitute equivalent and swapping out the salmon with crab because I am just not a fan of salmon.

Re the Alton Brown food network recipes, I plan on making the following substitutions: Swap rice for miracle rice; and Swap sugar for preferred sugar substitute equivalent.
I also plan on adding Masago (seasoned smelt roe) to each recipe because I quite like it.
I thought I had printed up and brought home at least one more sushi recipe but I can't seem to find it for the life of me right now.

Careful with the imitation crab, it's pretty high in carbs, many of which are sugar. I love it, probably because the sugar makes it taste so good lol, but for me it spikes my blood sugar, and it doesn't work anymore for my macros.0 -
What is miracle rice?

Shirataki noodles (not a true pasta) just cut up into small bite-size pieces of "rice."PaleoInScotland wrote: »Careful with the imitation crab, it's pretty high in carbs, many of which are sugar. Oh, I agree totally...I don't use imitation crab...I use real crab. I just forgot to mention it when I posted the links to recipes because I'm so used to just automatically subbing in the better choice of real crab meat. lol0 -
