Recumbent bike calories

Hey. I've read the faq, but I'm not sure I'm clear on this.
My charge hr seems to be syncing well with MFP. I did 50 mins on the recumbent bike today. I did go into "exercise mode" on my fitbit while I was on the bike.
Since this is a non step exercise, don't I need to manually log my exercise calories into mfp for this?

If you manually log it, I would do it in Fitbit, not MFP. Since you have a Charge HR, I'm not sure if you need to manually log it, since the heart rate computation should have been used. With a non-HR device, yes, it would need to be logged manually.0
