I have an appointment on Wednesday with my GP and was wondering whether anyone here has any experience with this? Did you find it useful?
There is a specialist weight management service in the area I live which I meet the criteria for so I'm hoping for a referral to this.
Any advice or personal stories would be fab xxx

My GP has been awesome! She is my biggest cheerleader. I originally asked about weight loss pills and took phentermine for about 6 weeks. When I realized I could do it without the pills I stopped taking them. Since May I have lost 53 pounds. I love going to the doctor and talking to her, we even talk about clothes shopping! My old doctor retired 2 years ago and finding her has been the biggest blessing for me. Good luck!0

Thanks Mindy The GP was lovely and referred me to the service but there seems to be a fairly long waiting list. My first appointment isn't until the beginning of May which is obviously quite disheartening. I'm hoping to try and get into the 200's by then so I have some sort of basis to build on. Wish me luck0

I sent you a friend request. You can do this. Log everything and buy a food scale. The food scale is my best friend. Drink lots of water, some say half your body weight a day. I know that's a lot, when I started at 224 there was no way I could drink 112 ounces a day. I drink between 6 - 12 glasses a day. Get up and move, even if it just a short walk. The more you do it the easier it will be. Good Luck.0
