Is that even legal???

AMRAP in 18 minutes:
200 meter run
9 Deadlifts (275/185)
6 Burpee Pull-ups

Should be an interesting way to start my day tomorrow (at 6:30a). :indifferent:

I love it. The only thing I don't like is at 6 am you have no one to compare to. I usually scan the board and get an idea of a reason amount of reps.

    Have fun!

At 6:30a, I have an entire class (5:30a) to compare to...

...and I ended up way down the list with 4 + 2 PU...

...but that's still 1000m of runs, 45 deadlifts (205#...yeah, scaled pretty hard...I'm just not that strong), and 26 burpee pull-ups in 18 minutes.

(Oh, and to get to the runs, we have to go through the back of the gym and down a flight of stairs which isn't part of the 200m...which means we have a flight of stairs at the end of it too. Not exactly helpful on a run & DL WOD.)

Some of those 5:30a freaks finished 6+ (but not rx)...and at least one guy did 5+ rx.

Oof, I'm so glad I can't see the WODs until I get to my box. I prefer dreading the unknown!

This week is all Hero WODs, so I know I'm in for a treat every day...

I always find that interesting. I love knowing. My husband and I wait every night for it to be posted, then we tell the other and we check on our own. Once we've both seen it, we discuss. I hate when it looks like a good one and I can't go.

I find the ones that look hard are hard. The ones the look easier are always harder. Haha.

    Great work Jof.

This was my first longish AMRAP, and while I thought it would be bad, it really wasn't *as bad* as I expected. It was too long to actually *sprint* the whole thing, and there was an element of pacing involved (at least for me). Those shorter WODs (be it for time or # of rounds), well, you push through knowing that it's supposed to be a sprint.

I suspect this is connected to 3dogs' comment about the ones that look hard (like these longish ones) still are, but the ones that look easier (because they're relatively shorter) are actually harder.

    Egads!

    The very next day:

    WOD:
Partner AMRAPs (36mins) Full round then switch
    AMRAP in 10 minutes of:
    10 Burpees
    100 Meter Sprint
    Rest 3 minutes, and then . . .
    AMRAP in 10 minutes of:
    15 Kettlebell Swings
    10 Push-Ups
    Rest 3 minutes, and then . . .
    AMRAP in 10 minutes of:
    15 Box Jumps (24/20)
    10 Pull-Ups

And preceded by some fairly taxing skill work:

    Skill:
    2 Rds
    1-3 Rope Climbs
    2min Double Under Practice/UB ME
    1 min Plank

Maybe janebshaw was right...crossfit really is trying to kill me.

I take it back - did a 30 min AMRAP the very next day of posting this and it damn near killed me. So I don't love long AMRAPS anymore - well I kinda do and don't - I think you all know what I mean

LOL this was our July 4th Hero WOD:

    "31 Heroes"
    31 Minute Team AMRAP of:

    8 Thrusters [Rx: 155#M/105#F]
6 Rope Climbs or 12 Slam Balls (20#/15#)
    11 Box Jumps [Rx: 30"M/24"F]

While one team member does the exercises the other runs 400m with a 20#M/10#F Wall Ball or Sand Bag. When the runner is done the team members switch off and continue to finish the round.

    Can you say VomitWOD?
