Just bought it myself. I've heard nothing but amazing things about it. Can't wait till it's finished downloading!1

Lol I already cant seem to get myself off my butt, buying another game isnt going to help. But im still gonna get it because games.1

Reminds me a lot of Harvest moon. Worth the buy1

Being that I spent SO many summer days playing Harvest Moon 64 and Animal Crossing, I imagine this one is going to be addictive as well! Maybe I'll reward myself with it at the end of each day and allot only so many minutes/in game days.... Or just pull all-nighters.1

Stardew Valley is life lol. If you enjoyed Harvest Moon, you will love this game. I enjoy learning which gifts to give and just learning the best crops each season. My year 1 will be horrible but I'm ready to be great in year 2 with all I've learned on my own.1

I really have been wanting this too. I love, love, love Harvest Moon. All my friends are playing it and my brother even told me I need it. But I barely have time to game now and most my time gaming is spent with my fiance. I don't know if I want to play another game and get more distracted from getting healthy. Maybe if I am doing well and keeping up with goals and such in 3 months I can allow myself to have it.0

I bought it because my favourite Youtuber played it and I've basically waved my life goodbye ever since. It's so addictive and there's always something new to discover. Of course, I'm a sucker for the cute retro pixel graphics but it's still amazing how much you fall in love with those little townies.1

Whose your favorite youtuber?0 -
I just bought it last night after my husband showed me multiple videos on GiantBomb. Super fun and addictive! I liked Harvest Moon a lot, and this feels really similar.1

Gronkh. He's German, though. I like him because he's so calm and collected and doesn't cut his videos when he sucks at a game which makes me feel better about how bad I am at some games.

Ok, so I've played it for four (in game) days now... At what point does everything make sense? I feel like I'm wasting so much time just trying to get a feel for it. Or is it forgiving in that regard?0

I finally got Stardew Valley!!! I love it! There is soooo much to do! I can't decide if I want to marry Sebastian because he is a computer programmer and drives a motorcycle, Sam because he plays guitar and looks like a super saiyan, or Harvey because he looks like Commissioner Gordon in Batman.1

Sebastian was my first choice but then I realized he was a loner with dreams of leaving the town and I couldnt tie him down to my little farm life XD0 -
I haven't had time to play much in the last couple weeks. But I'm definitely going for Harvey, too. He's such a precious little nerd.
Btw, rgbmore and everyone else who worries about this, don't worry if you mess up the first season (or year), the game isn't very linear in its story progress and if you forget or can't do something, you can always catch up later.0 -
I've been watching online playthrus of the game and I'm impressed that it was made entirely by one person. Now I really wish I could focus on learning to program lol.0

Hahaha this is hilarious! You take this just as seriously as I do. I like Harvey a lot...but I played table top games with Sam and Sebastian yesterday and like... I just don't know! I love all 3!0 -
I downloaded this the other week, haven't had much chance to play with exams coming up but I loved Harvest Moon so I can't wait to get in to it!0

It's a really fun game. It's very relaxing if you don't stress out too much about getting tons of things done. I've spent most of my time farming with a little mining. I stink at fishing. I'm still in Spring of the first year and I only have 3 one heart relationships.0

I have 3 10 heart relationships, a couple 5 hearts, several 3 and 4 hearts and then the rest should be 1 or 2 hearts.0 -

Late on this, but anyone interested in this game I recommend getting the Humble Bundle monthly. You get Stardew Valley (instant key unlock for steam) at $15/ £13 and after that you get another 7 mystery games unlocked (3 days from now).
It's a subscription service tho so make sure to cancel if you don't want the following month too. On top of all that, 5% of the money goes to their charity partners, so you can feel smug for a while1
