Tired

I am tired. Physically and emotionally.
I wake up tired. Then I zombie my way through work, work out, second job, after school/work chores and activities. Finally I collapse into bed and pass out for 8 hours before I get up and do it all over again. I have no energy.
I am tired of fighting the weight battle. I've gone most of two years now at the same weight in spite of exercise and eating well. I am so tired of this fight

It is a marathon not a sprint. Some people have a shorter marathon to run than the rest of us. It is hard to wake up put in the work and at the end of the day see no change. After a while that takes its toll, which then adds to the disorder. But you are waking up and you are fighting, you are going to the gym, you are taking the steps to make a better you. So what can we here in the group do to help you?0

Make the d@mn scale move
Seriously, I don't know. I've tried restricting calories, eating to the high side of my calories, more cardio & less lifting, less cardio & more lifting....My body seems to be stuck.
Oddly, the scale at the gym showed a two pound loss. This was after two cups of coffee, 20 ounces of water, breakfast, and two hours of work out.
I need to get past my self pity. I need to just put on my big girl panties and keep fighting. It just feels hopeless at the moment.0 -
You are not the only one that has felt hopeless. I guarantee it. So from what I have seen if you have your calories figured out, with the right activity levels added in, and you follow that while being brutally honest about what and how much you are eating. After a month or so you will start to see results on the scale.
Can you increase your protein intake and cut back on some carbs? Do you own a food scale? If not invest in one, you can get them on Amazon for like $15 for a decent one. Do not restrict your calories because that will actually slow down weight loss, as your body goes into starvation mode. So make sure you are eating your calories you are allowed for the day. Then, for me I like to over estimate my calories eaten if I am unsure, then under estimate how many calories I have burned throughout the day. Also are you eating back your burned calories from working out?
Weight loss is such a pain in the *kitten*. Why can't it be as easy to lose weight, as it is to gain it?0 -
I'm not eating back calories burned. That seems counter productive. I stay below 1400 daily. I stay within the carb/protein percentages perscribed by MFP. It's been a bit over one month. Nothing lost.
I should have measured, though. My rings are starting to jiggle. I just need to be patient. But that's sooo hard after two years at pretty much the same weight.
Frustrated doesn't begin to describe.0
