Applications for the lottery entry of the Chicago Marathon opened today. I put my name in! Anyone else hoping to get lucky this year?

    Nah. I wouldn't able to afford traveling there this year. I'm hoping to time qualify this spring for the 2017 race :) I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

    I am currently tossing around the idea of a fall marathon. If I do, it will probably be Chicago. I time qualified at Columbus last fall.

    Thinking about it. I'm planning to do Seattle, so it doesn't really make sense, but I live here, so...

    I entered a week ago with guaranteed entry for time. Chicago is easy driving distance for me, so I am glad I don't have to mess with flying. I am excited about the flat course and hoping to break 3 hours there.

    You made me look. I need to beat 3:15 to get a guaranteed entry for time. That's possible, but not a gimme. No Chicago this year, but I'll have to think about Chicago 2017 if I beat the time at Boston or Rochester this year.
