Fitbit Flex reset itself during the day

Hey guys,
It is now 8pm, my day is nowhere near over. I haven't been walking too many steps today but when I checked my Fitbit this afternoon, two of the lights were blinking.
Now I checked my app (iOS) and it took a while to sync, then showed me it was done, battery was half full and I was at zero (!) steps. I synced again and now it shows the battery as full but the steps are still at zero. So I checked the lights on the Flex and sure enough, only the first one is blinking.
Does anyone know what this could be? Do I need to reset the time somewhere because it thinks it's 12am? I've pretty much written off today's result but I'd like to know if anyone's had this before and how you fixed it.
