Does the hr charge work on a lateral stepper?

I have the zip atmbut want to change to charge hr - I do most steps on a lateral stepper where my feet don't leave the paddles - will the steps still be counted even without the vibration?

Did you actually ever count the accuracy of the Zip?

I know that even if it saw each "step" correctly because there was enough distinct impact, the distance and therefore calorie burn based on that figure would be wrong.

The Charge HR may or may not see steps as accurately depending on what your arms are doing during those "steps" - but the calorie burn would be more accurate.

So depends on purpose of using device and goals.
High step counts for challenges and appearance.
Accurate calorie burns for losing weight.

Thanks for the reply - I've had the charge a week now and it matches the steppers display step for step. Appreciate the steps aren't as long but they are much harder as I have it on highest setting

So you are trusting MFP's estimate of your daily burn based on nothing more than your selection of non-exercise activity level and your estimated BMR?

But you don't trust Fitbit's estimate of your daily burn based on what it actually sees you doing?

I trust my own instinct and it works, thanks for the reply.
