Has anyone had to get an IVC filter prior to your surgery??

    I hate to sound stupid but is the IVC filter the one that is attached to your liver? If so, I did have that...

    It goes in the inferior vena cava to filter and break down blood clots. It stops the clots from getting to your heart and lungs.

    Didn't have that - I did have a drain attached to my liver though...

    No sorry, jut the Jp liver drain after the surgery.
