Almighty God,
On this first day of Lent, we ask for your forgiveness for us all. We fail you in many ways. We would like to do better and rely on you Lord to transform us.
Use this Lenten Season to cleanse our hearts and renew our Spirits.
We especially pray for knitwit0704, Beargoose, and cpego1 that you will protect them from the onslaught of the devil even as Christ was able to withstand the attacks in the wilderness. Help them achieve all their goals of health and fitness.
We all want to be good witnesses for you by showing the fruits of the Spirit--including meek/disciplined lives. Bless us Lord.

You want peace and abundance for us. The Psalmist and the prophet Isaiah, celebrate your gracious love for us, to look at our sins, forgive us and cleanse us, giving us a fresh start.

We have many with health issues and financial issues. You know us intimately and I lift all of us up that have needs. Please God, bring healing and financial security....even abundance that the Old Testament proclaims in today's lessons.

Almighty Savior,
We cry unto you when our lives self-destruct, when we can't see our way and our enemies rise up to defeat us. Just as the Psalmist begged for you to help him quickly, we trust that you will cover our sins and renew our faith. You provided a cloud pillar and a fiery pillar for the Israelites--a continual presence that you were guiding them. We seek that for our own lives.
