So I've already logged all my calories for the day and my dear husband is currently sitting next to me in bed eating chips and queso. I'm resisting but it's SO HARD. Ugh!!!!

Kick him outta bed! :) I feel your anguish...my bf took his Mom shopping yesterday and out of ALL of the *reasonably*healthy possibilities (fruit, veg, even peanut butter!!) available in a large grocery store...what does he bring home? Not 1 but 2(!) 16oz solid chocolate bunnies!!! I put them in the overflow fridge @ the back of the house! Hang in there :#

My partner has some bad habits at the mo too.

He's been good in trying not to eat stuff that's terrible around me, but his habit right now is to eat the healthy stuff that I'm buying for myself, along with eating his own stuff!!

I bought a pack of wafers last night that I can have as a treat every day (38 calories each, yummy!), and I held it up to him and said "See these, these are MINE. You will not eat these, regardless of how long you think they've been on the shelf". I pointed at a big Walnut cake he'd bought himself, and said "That's yours. I won't have any, you don't touch my treats".
I hate that I have to say it, but I try to plan my food ahead, and if he keeps eating it, I can't stick to my plan, and have to spend even more money (which we really don't have right now).

Although he talks about junk food a lot, which is kinda torturous too...

I feel your pain. My partner is all about junk food. He's never had to worry about his weight so it never occurs to him. He tries to be nice and pick me up treats as well, but that just makes things worse :/ he means we'll but I kinda want to strangle him and eat his fries........

My husband keeps treats by his side at all times, night and day, and nibbles. He constantly keeps a cupboard full of total junk. I can't convince him to stop this. He has a lot of weight to lose too and I'm hoping as I reduce he'll feel compelled to join me. He's very competitive so I'm counting on it. Sooner or later we'll both have to do an Elsa and Let It Go. ;)

Mine got mad at me for telling him he didn't need ice cream . he is diabetes and won't follow portion control
His doctor tells him to lose weight
It frustrating because of all his health problems and eat may have to Start a second insulin
... Love him but he iterates me some days

It's hard when you want to help someone and they're not ready to help themselves. Maybe by making yourself an example you can be an inspiration to him

I live with my Brother and right before I started my diet he asked for a bag of sugar so I said sure and I came back from the superstore with a 10 kg sack of sugar. He gasped at it and the next day we both were on diets. Reverse psychology works like a charm. A few years ago my other brother was eating too much and He ate my nutty bars that I had been eating sparingly so I came back from the store with 10 boxes of little Debby products and put them all over the countertop. Soon he didn't want any sweets at all. I find guys fall for this method but of course your mileage may vary.

That is so true! My experience with my husband is when he's stocked up he has more self-control. Running short makes him anxious and he takes risks.
