Fitbit suddenly gave me nearly double my steps

I just did a 10 km run and finished at around 9am.
When I was nearly home, my Fitbit Charge HR buzzed to tell me I'd done my 12,500 step goal.
At home, I opened the Fitbit app, and it says I've done nearly 22,000 steps!
Anyone else with similar problems?
Daylight savings ended at 2 am this morning, but I don't think that could have affected time zone settings for steps at 9 am.

I should add that I've closed and reopened the app, and I've restarted my iPhone 6, but neither fixed things.0

I would check the dashboard on the website and see if something's gone crazy there? Sometimes it's easier to see there than on the phone app.
I had an issue once where an activity log caused some double counting. No idea what happened, but it seemed to count my steps like usual as well as add in an estimate for a manually logged activity.
If you log in to the Fitbit website, then click on Log>Activities, you'll see a breakdown of your steps/activities and can make corrections if needed.

That's so weird.. Yesterday fitbit/mfp was counting my steps correctly, but mfp doubled my calorie allotment. So instead of getting the correct amount of 600 credited to me, I got 1200 calories, and it wont let me delete or change it!0
