I've been reading Racing Weight since a few people have recommended it now. My only question is, what the hell is a potato counted as????

I don't have the book. A potato should be considered as a starch (carbs).

I just read the book. You mean on the dqs system? I'm sure it's a veggie. Then catagorize your toppings accordingly.

Ah ok, thanks! I knew sweet potatoes counted as vegetables, but I wasn't sure if regular potatoes would count as vegetables or whole grain (I mean, they're not grains obviously but they are high in carbs and have lots of fiber if you eat the skin). I guess veg makes the most sense, I've just always thought of them in the same category as breads and rice.
