Surgery was yesterday and pain is very tolerable. Waiting for my swallow test so I can take a sip of something, my throat is very scratchy. Also can't wait to get walking around! Miss my munchkins

They haven't had you walking yet? I was up two hours after getting to my room then every four hours minimally from then on!

Glad the pain is being held at bay! Mine wasn't bad either, but I did use my pain meds at home to help me sleep. Much more difficult getting in and out of my bed than the adjustable hospital bed!

Thanks for the update! Been thinking about you and Jen!

No I was suprised they didn't have me walking. I'm off the drip pain killers now, so I'm interested to see what the pain levels are. Dr said my stomach was abnormally long - but nothing wrong with it. Have a good day!

Glad your surgery went well! I also haven't had as much pain. First set of nurses didn't connect my pain meds so last night I was a mess.

Been eating ice chips and crystal light with protein powder - looking forward to going home later!

Oh no!!! That's horrible. I have some water and a bit of sugar free Italian ice. I don't start protein until tomorrow. I get released tomorrow, awesome that you are getting out today!

I also haven't seen any sugar free ices either but would love to get some though!

How are you feeling so far? So far feeling pretty good though the most painful spot on me is where they had the liver drain attached.

Also got up a couple of times and felt a bit dizzy not sure if that's normal or what - wonder if it has to do with the lack of nutrients?

You must be so excited to go home today!

Excited to go home but kinda like this no responsibility gig - no dishes no toys lol. I have logged into work a few times to get things done. I still have my iv and drain - can't wait for those to be removed.
I'll let you know about the dizziness level once I'm off the iv and etc. my stomach is gurgling so much. They had me swallow 2 Tylenol w/codeine last night, that shocked me, but no problems in the belly with it.

    Have a great day!
