Alright, I am thinking about a new road bike, (my wife, shes not really thinking I need one, she doesn't believe in N+1).

I am currently on a 2005 Orbea Onix, Carbon, Ultegra 10, Mavic Ksyrium Equipe, had it fitted, swapped bars/stem, fits fantastic imo.

Its a size 51, I'm 5'7" with about a 30" inseam, its going to be a road bike for road miles, asphalt/chip seal, rural roads, no racing, no crits, group rides, charity rides, metrics/centurys.

My wish list if I get a new bike includes....Carbon frame/fork, hydro disc brakes, 105/Ultegra/Ultegra, through axles and internal cable routing.

I have found and ridden a 2015 Norco Search XR which has all of my list, I see Giant has a couple that come close (Defy Advanced, TXC Advanced (CX), Trek has their Domane series, Cannondale, Orbea, Kona also have some that come close....and I don't object to a CX bike so.....

Anyone happen to have any other suggestions, ridden road hydro discs, or through axles on a road bike, am I asking for too much to soon and the market isn't ready yet...

Thanks , Chris

I bought a GT Grade Carbon Force 22 from Performance recently, they had a good deal on it. Has most of what you're looking for but not everything. I'm enjoying the hydraulic disc brakes although when I replaced the bars they were a limiting factor. It does not have internal cable routing, and has a thru-axle for the front wheel but uses a QR for the back. That's kind of weird, but DT Swiss 240 hubs let you change from a thru-axle to a quick release and back by changing the end caps. Note that the wheels that came with the bike don't have these hubs, I'm mentioning it because it means you can get wheels that will outlast the bike. Oh, I think Ultegra is nicer than Force, but Force works pretty well too; you can get this bike in Ultegra but it adds a lot to the price.
