We found out this morning that my husband Danny has Renal cancer (it's in the left kidney) will know more when we meet the surgeon for consult in Columbus . don't have the date yet !!

Oh Kat, I'm so sorry to hear that, that's awful news.
I have no advice on coping, I think that's something that everyone will do differently, but we're here for you when you need to talk, rant, share etc. If I was there with you, I'd give you a big hug.

If I had one thing to say about a cancer diagnosis, I would say that there is lots of information out there, and a lot of it is useless, and some even harmful. When I had a family member recently diagnosed with cancer, I was tempted to google everything, find out everything, learn everything, and I think that's a natural reaction. But be careful of where you find that information, because you'll read stuff that will make you feel unnecessarily panicked. Statistics don't mean too much when it comes down to an individual's diagnosis, because everyone is different.

We're here, Kat, whenever you need us. Take care xx

I can understand what you are feeling since I am a cancer survivor. For me the worst time was waiting to find out the plan. Once the doctors had a plan of action for surgery and to treat the cancer I found it easier to cope. If you check with the doctor's offices there may be support groups in your area that will help and even give you information on how to handle the ups and downs. The best advice I can give on how to cope in the interim is to keep busy - that was what helped me get through the waiting.

Iam finding myself falling into carbs into not caring about me I realize this and think that is a good thing . I have never noticed it before . I will try hard to beat the very real struggle of sweets , and pasta , breads and all the processed crap that creates the visious cycle that has gotten me before. Trying to focus on the good.
