Flex is not counting steps or is missing them

Today my Flex is struggling to count steps. I can be looking at the app and the number just doesn't change even though I'm walking. If I leave the app and then go back it goes up but not by enough. Is anyone else experiencing this or maybe my Flex is dying?

    I had the same problem with the Flex (when I was using one in 2014). I emailed Fitbit and they sent me a replacement.
